R.O.C.P. 10.7 implementing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legis.state.pa.us\/cfdocs\/legis\/LI\/consCheck.cfm?txtType=HTM&amp;ttl=20&amp;div=0&amp;chpt=39&amp;sctn=8&amp;subsctn=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">20 Pa.C.S. 3908<\/a>, which provides that the filing of certain affidavits with the Register of Wills has the same effect as the &#8220;finding of a court&#8221; for the purpose of allowing disclosures of certain digital assets of a decedent to the personal representative of the estate.  By the same order, the Supreme Court also corrected a statutory reference in Pa.R.O.C.P. 15.10, relating to adoptions.  &#8220;Order Adopting Rule 10.7 and Amending Rule 15.10 of the Pennsylvania Rules of Orphans&#8217; Court Procedure; No. 995 Supreme Court Rules Docket&#8221; (9\/30\/2024), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pacodeandbulletin.gov\/Display\/pabull?file=\/secure\/pabulletin\/data\/vol54\/54-41\/1455.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">54 Pa.B. 6418<\/a> (10\/12\/2024).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[The Orphans\u2019 Court Procedural Rules Committee had originally published <a href=\"https:\/\/resources.evans-legal.com\/?p=8548\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a proposed rule that would have been a cross-reference to 20 Pa.C.S. \u00a7 3908<\/a>, and that proposal was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/resources.evans-legal.com\/?p=8602\">opposed by the Pennsylvania Bar Association<\/a>.  The committee reconsidered, a <a href=\"https:\/\/resources.evans-legal.com\/?p=9483\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">second proposed rule was published<\/a>, and according to the adoption report of the committee there were no objections or comments to that second proposal.
